The Suspicious Fish After School Creative Literacy program provides youth, aged 8-12, the opportunity to participate in various literacy and art activities. We focus on providing a relaxed, encouraging, and responsive environment where participants can explore their storytelling and art interests.   

Who: All children between the ages of 8-12 in the community are welcome to register. The walk program is available only to students at Verdun Elementary. Students from other schools must arrange their own transportation.

What is the walk program? Our facilitators will pick up registered participants at Verdun Elementary at the end of the school day. Parents and those authorized are responsible for picking up registered participants at the end of the program. Authorization can be given for participants to leave on their own at the end of the program (see on-line registration form) 

When: Beginning Tuesdays on September 29th. 

Times:  2:30 to 4:30

Where: 5161 rue Wellington in Verdun 

Registration Fee: The program is free. We do offer extended childcare hours from 4:30-5:30 at a fee of $10 per day. Arrangements can be made with the staff at Suspicious Fish.

Beginning October 22, 2026, participants will meet each week from 7 pm to 9 pm at 5161 rue Wellington. Guided by a facilitator, participants will share and discuss their work.
